Alicia Slusarchuk has been studying and playing the tsymbaly since she was 13 years of age; she was formerly taught by Steven Chwok. Alicia enjoys entertaining audiences throughout Alberta and through her constant efforts of preserving the art of playing the tsymbaly she has recently received an Alberta Council for the Ukrainian Arts Top 30 Under 30 Award.

Alicia is proud to be a Ukrainian-Canadian and when she is not performing on the tsymbaly, she can be found giving back to the community through different forms of volunteerism. Alicia regularly performs at senior's homes, festivals and private functions. She has performed on numerous occasions at the Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village, Baba's and Borscht Festival and the Pysanka Festival in Vegreville.

Alicia hopes that you enjoy listening to her repertoire of music at UFEST.
